This page explains the difference between the Lean Explorers Club, a new type of startup accelerator, and the traditional form of startup accelerators. It uses the latter as a rough representation of all other startup accelerators. Of course, it’s a stereotype and some startups accelerators may be more similar to the Lean Explorers Club. However, although many contemporary startup accelerators may claim to be “lean” or to embrace “Lean Startup” and “Customer Development” principles and practices, in reality it often seems not to be the case.
